Mathilda Marks-Kennedy PTA

The Mathilda Marks-Kennedy PTA is an active, creative, and much-loved part of school life bringing together parents and staff to support our children and enhance the MMK experience. 

 

What We Do

Throughout the year, the PTA raises funds and builds community through a packed calendar of events, from our regular family favourites like the MMK Funday, parent socials, musical bingo and quiz evenings, our annual Auction, Challah Club, and Tilly Tots sessions for our youngest community members.

 

Each year, the PTA funds a wide range of school resources, experiences, and celebrations - everything from ICT equipment, laptops, and iPads to chaggim activities, school trips, outdoor learning spaces and creative workshops.

 

The Impact of Your Support

Thanks to the generosity and energy of our families, the PTA typically raises around £20,000 each year, all of which goes straight back into school life.

In recent years, PTA funding has supported:

  • A new sound and light system, screen and projector for the main school hall
  • 28 laptops and WiFi upgrades
  • A full set of 30 iPads used across all year groups
  • 50% subsidising of all school trips
  • Enrichment experiences
  • Chaggim celebrations including Tu Bish Vat fruit shop, Family Purim breakfast and Yom H’atzmaut celebrations. 
  • Gardening and playground resources
  • Creative and cultural workshops, such as a drumming workshop and Ivrit festivals

Every event, every raffle ticket, and every hour volunteered helps make a visible difference to the learning and enjoyment of every child at MMK.

 

Get Involved

The PTA is always looking for new members and volunteers - whether you’d like to help plan events, lend a hand on the day, help sell tickets, or have a special skill like hair braiding or facepainting the PTA would love your help.

Joining the PTA is a great way to meet other parents, contribute to school life and have fun while doing it.

The PTA also welcome local businesses to sponsor events, donate prizes, or advertise in their annual school calendar.
